The pilot of an experimental aircraft suffered minor injures after a plane crash near 2068 Old Dalton Road, according to Jerome Poole with the Floyd County Police Department.
The pilot, Mark Easterwood of Rome, was transported to the hospital after the wreck some time around 10 a.m. this morning. The kit aircraft landed in a field at a farm.
The aircraft was damaged and police were at the scene Monday afternoon waiting for FAA officials to investigate the scene.
